On Friday, Nashua North needed a bit of extra time to put away Nashua South. They came out on top against the Purple Panthers by a score of 7-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Titans as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, Keene got themselves on the board against Bedford on Friday, but Bedford never followed suit. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Blackbirds have posted since April 16th.
Fitch Hennessey made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Keene is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-8 otherwise. Hennessey was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run.
Hennessey wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brayden French, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
