Football Recap: Wabash Comes Up Short

After soaring to 41 points the game before, Wabash was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They had to suffer through a 48-13 loss at the hands of the Northwestern Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Apaches of the 40-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Although Wabash took the loss, they still got scores from Treyce Daughtry and Davon Osborn.

This is the second loss in a row for Wabash and nudges their season record down to 1-6. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.0 points over those games. As for Northwestern, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wabash will face off against Lewis Cass at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northwestern, they will challenge Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Zebras' defense has only allowed four points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
