Basketball Recap: Simmons Blue Devils vs. Leflore County Tigers
Simmons was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 69-56 to the Leflore County Tigers. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-56 last Tuesday.
Despite the loss, Simmons still got an impressive performance from Carl Lucas Jr., who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards. Lucas Jr. is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down 12 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Lebron Morris, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 10 points and seven rebounds.
