Volleyball Recap: Liberty Lions vs. Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mountain Lions this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-1 defeat last Tuesday.

Liberty was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19, 25-13.

Pete Selinski was the offensive standout of the match as he had five digs and five aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in March.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Mountain Ridge, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-16.

As of now, neither Liberty nor the Mountain Lions have any future games scheduled.
