Baseball Recap: Cedar Creek Christian Takes a Loss

Cedar Creek Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 21-9 to the First Coast Christian Knights. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 14, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Cedar Creek Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Rukab, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave Rukab a new career-high. Gabriel Hutton was another, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Cedar Creek Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for First Coast Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3-1.

Coming up, Cedar Creek Christian will head out to take on Yulee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for First Coast Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cedar Creek Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
