Basketball Game Preview: Clinton Christian Couriers vs. Victory Christian Academy Lions

The Clinton Christian Couriers will challenge the Victory Christian Academy Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Clinton Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Portage Christian 69-35. With the Couriers ahead 41-17 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Clinton Christian had a senior duo take command as Anthony Snyder went 5 of 8 en route to 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals and Hayden Lower made all 6 shots he took for 15 points and six boards. With that strong performance, Snyder is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. Dominic Miller was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Clinton Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Meanwhile, Victory Christian Academy didn't have too much trouble with DeMotte Christian on Tuesday as they won 59-45. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while the Knights are ranked 405th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clinton Christian is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points per game. As for Victory Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Clinton Christian was dealt a bruising 82-22 defeat at the hands of Victory Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Clinton Christian was down 39-7.
