Soccer Recap: Ridgeview Takes a Loss

Ridgeview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Abingdon Falcons. While losing is never fun, Ridgeview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Abingdon are ranked 126th).

Ridgeview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Abingdon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6-1 record this season.

Ridgeview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Abingdon, they have already played their next match, a 9-1 victory against Union on the 20th.
