Recap: Peachtree Academy Panthers vs. Trinity Prep Lions
The Peachtree Academy Panthers suffered their biggest loss since November 18, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 71-41 defeat at the hands of Trinity Prep. Peachtree Academy has not had much luck with Trinity Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Peachtree Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Noah Rodriguez. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rodriguez has scored all season.
Peachtree Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Trinity Prep racked up 19 assists.
Shane Harvey continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Trinity Prep, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten assists. Allan Ray IV was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Peachtree Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Trinity Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
Peachtree Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against HALO at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (HALO is ranked 525th, while Peachtree Academy is ranked 502nd). As for Trinity Prep, Trinity Prep and Lanier Christian Academy will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lanier Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Trinity Prep likes a good challenge.
