Basketball Recap: Guernsey-Sunrise Comes Up Short

Guernsey-Sunrise was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 58-12 loss at the hands of the Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-7.

Skyla Wunder continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lingle-Fort Laramie, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine assists. The dominant performance gave Wunder a new career-high in assists. Jordynn Speckner was another key player, going 6 of 8 on her way to 12 points and three steals.

Guernsey-Sunrise's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Lingle-Fort Laramie, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Guernsey-Sunrise has already played their next match (against HEM), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lingle-Fort Laramie will square off against Morrill at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Morrill will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Lingle-Fort Laramie surely won't give up without a fight.
