Vasquez put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Hamilton Bobcats 22-6. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Vasquez had a senior duo take command as Jayden Lopez rushed for 101 yards and one score and Zack Van Ornum rushed for 63 yards and a pair of TDs. Lopez also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making seven total tackles.

Vasquez was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 254 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 158 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Vasquez's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Hamilton's QB won't forget Leonardo Rivas anytime soon given he sacked him twice.

Vasquez's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Hamilton, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Vasquez wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against St. Bernard on the 10th. As for Hamilton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 27-14 defeat against San Jacinto Valley Academy on the 9th.
