Softball Recap: Millard Eagles vs. Milford Tigers        
        
		
            
 Millard can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Thursday. They were the clear victor by  a  21-7 margin over the Milford Tigers. The  win was just what Millard needed coming off of  a  12-5 loss in their prior  matchup.
  Macie Wade made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  struck out six batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned  (and four unearned) runs off   nine  hits. Wade was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in two of her five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kadi Dearden, who  scored five  runs while going 4-for-5.  Halle Warner was another key contributor,  going 3-for-4 with two  RBI.
 On Milford's side,  McKinlee Curtis and  Karsydi Vetsch did some serious damage despite the final result:  Curtis  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3, while  Vetsch  scored three  runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Paizlee Florence, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Even though they lost, Milford  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with ten  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Millard only tossed six.
 Millard's victory bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Milford, their defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 9-6.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millard will  square off against Water Canyon at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Milford, they will head out on the road to  take on  Enterprise at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Enterprise is coming into the  match with seven straight  wins at home,  so Milford will have to stop a  team with plenty of momentum.
