Baseball Game Preview: North Stars vs. Arvin Bears

The North Stars will head out on the road to take on the Arvin Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 20.

North came up short against Valley Christian Academy on Monday, falling 12-2. That's two games in a row now that the Stars have lost by exactly ten runs.

North saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was TYLER DUNN, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Arvin came into Tuesday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 5-1 win over Bakersfield on Tuesday.

Roy Rosales made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). He is becoming a predictor of Arvin's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-1 (and 3-5 when he doesn't). Rosales was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

North's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Arvin, their record now sits at 5-6.

North couldn't quite finish off Arvin when the teams last played back in February of 2023 and fell 3-1. Can North avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
