Baseball Game Preview: East Henderson Eagles vs. Franklin Panthers

For the second straight game, East Henderson will face off against Franklin. The Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Henderson has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

East Henderson couldn't beat Franklin on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Eagles lost 13-7 to the Panthers. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

For Franklin's part, they got a great performance from Cayson McAllister as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. McAllister has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hunter Lowe was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Bradley, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Franklin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive contests.

Franklin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for East Henderson, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.
