Basketball Recap: Lyman Comes Up Short

Lyman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 54-5 loss at the hands of the Eustis Panthers. The Greyhounds were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-0.

Despite the defeat, Lyman saw an underclassman step up: freshman Asia Henry posted five points.

Lyman's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Eustis, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lyman and Deltona will meet in a canine-themed contest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eustis, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Umatilla at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Umatilla: 24, Eustis: 14.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
