Soccer Recap: Morristown-Hamblen West Takes a Loss

Morristown-Hamblen West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jefferson County Patriots. While losing is never fun, Morristown-Hamblen West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Jefferson County are ranked 95th).

Morristown-Hamblen West's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Jefferson County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morristown-Hamblen West will challenge Knoxville Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Jefferson County, they will face off against Sevier County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
