Volleyball Recap: Bourbon Comes Up Short

Bourbon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Steelville Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the War Hawks of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-13.

Bourbon's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Steelville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-1-1 record this season.

Bourbon will welcome Grandview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Steelville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against St. James on the 20th.
