Volleyball Recap: East Clinton Starts off Right with Win over Mcclain

East Clinton took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the McClain Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Astros have posted against the Tigers since September 8, 2015.

One reason for the win was East Clinton's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 25-13, 25-12.

Sahara Tate paced East Clinton's offense, picking up ten kills. Tate were helped by Reese DeBold and Emily Arnold, who contributed ten assists each.

McClain now has a losing record of 1-2.

East Clinton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Georgetown on the 19th. As for McClain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Fairfield on the 20th.
