Volleyball Game Preview: Newman International Academy Warriors vs. Nazarene Christian Academy Lions

Newman International Academy is 0-8 against Nazarene Christian Academy since September of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Newman International Academy lost 3-0 to UME Preparatory Academy on Tuesday. The shutout was out of character for the Warriors seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-15, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Nazarene Christian Academy came up short against Victory Christian Academy on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Lions have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17, 22-25, 25-15.

Newman International Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Nazarene Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Newman International Academy might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Nazarene Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2019. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
