Basketball Recap: Gladewater Takes a Loss

Gladewater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 28th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Sabine Cardinals, falling 87-61. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (59), the Bears still had to take the loss.

Gladewater's defeat dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Sabine, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-17.

Gladewater will venture away from home to challenge Arp at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gladewater has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Sabine, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Rusk at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sabine's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
