Baseball Recap: Boulder Comes Up Short

Boulder lost to Brighton last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 7-6.

Finn Torvik was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.

Boulder's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Brighton, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Looking ahead, Boulder is taking a road trip to take on Riverdale Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ravens have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Brighton, they will square off against Prairie View at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
