Carvers Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Green Sea Floyds Trojans. One positive for the Bears, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Carvers Bay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Marsh, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That RBI was Marsh's first of the season.

Carvers Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Green Sea Floyds, they moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Carvers Bay will head out on the road to square off against Johnsonville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Green Sea Floyds, they will face off against Lake View at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
