Soccer Recap: Whiteville Comes Up Short

The Whiteville Wolfpack didn't have quite enough to beat the East Columbus Gators on Thursday and fell 3-2. One thing that didn't help Whiteville's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Diego Valdez Saucedo.

Paxton Bass and Price Wheatley scored both of Whiteville's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Whiteville's loss dropped their record down to 0-1-1.

Looking ahead, Whiteville will square off against North Brunswick at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Columbus will be paying especially close attention to the Wolfpack's game: after the Wolfpack face off against West Brunswick, they'll take on East Columbus again at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
