Baseball Recap: Cromwell Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Cromwell couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Stonington Bears on Saturday, falling 17-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered since June 2, 2025.

Cromwell's loss dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Stonington, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Cromwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stonington, they will square off against Coventry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bears 2.3, the Patriots 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
