Basketball Recap: New Underwood Comes Up Short

New Underwood easily dispatched Moorcroft on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The New Underwood Tigers fell just short of the Edgemont Moguls by a score of 29-26 on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Moguls: they've now lost five in a row.

Edgemont's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tavian Urban, who went 8 of 20 en route to 18 points and five blocks. Hadley Hollenbeck was another key player, putting up eight points and 11 boards.

New Underwood's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Edgemont, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

New Underwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-48 defeat against Philip on the 21st. As for Edgemont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 40-30 victory against Hay Springs on the 24th.
