Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Shamrocks vs. Ballard Bruins

Trinity has won 21 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Ballard has won 21 straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Shamrocks will host the Bruins at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Trinity 1.2, Ballard 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Trinity proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against DeSales, sneaking past 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Shamrocks in their matchups with the Colts: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Ballard got the win against Halifax County on Saturday by a conclusive 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won ten games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ballard's victory bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Trinity, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Trinity beat Ballard 8-5 in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Do the Shamrocks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bruins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
