Baseball Recap: Thousand Oaks Gets the Win

Thousand Oaks's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Oaks Christian Lions. This was a revenge game for the Lancers: when they faced off against the Lions last Tuesday, they had to take a 10-0 loss.

Jameson Berigan looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Omar Heredia, who went 2-for-4 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brett Warner, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

Thousand Oaks' victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Oaks Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Thousand Oaks will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
