Football Recap: Jupiter Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Jupiter won the last time they faced Martin County and Jayden Roberts did his part to make sure it happened again. The Warriors put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 27-7 victory on Friday with plenty of help from Roberts, who rushed for 186 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

One reason for the win was Jupiter's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Despite the loss, Martin County still got an impressive performance from Manny Louis, who rushed for 58 yards and one score on only seven carries.

The win keeps Jupiter at an undefeated 8-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 32.3 points this season. As for Martin County, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Jupiter will take on Palm Beach Lakes at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Martin County, they will challenge Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
