Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bruceville-Eddy). They put the hurt on the Hamilton Bulldogs with a sharp 17-1 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Mady McCormick was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Those hits were her first of the season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Bruceville-Eddy got a massive performance out of Abby Reese, who went 2-for-4 with two triples, five RBI, and one run. Those two hits gave Reese a new career-high. Loren Sardaneta was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Bruceville-Eddy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hamilton only posted an OBP of .353.

Bruceville-Eddy's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Hamilton, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16.
