Basketball Recap: Central Christian Gets the Win

Lafayette Christian came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against Central Christian, but Rocky Steidinger wouldn't allow it. The Central Christian Crusaders took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 70-35 victory over the Lafayette Christian Cougars thanks in part to Steidinger, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 boards. He has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last 18 times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Steidinger, who posted nine points and seven assists. Those seven assists gave him a new career-high.

Central Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Lafayette Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Central Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 69-67 victory against Trinity Christian School of Griffin on the 6th. As for Lafayette Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 80-13 defeat against Konos Academy on the 6th.
