            Vacaville has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.62  runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit  on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Rodriguez Mustangs by a score of  11-10. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a  trend for the  squad, making it three in a row.
 Jaiden Oldwin was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He  tossed six innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off   six  hits. Oldwin was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Caden Whitten was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 3-for-5 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles.  Peyton Olds was another key player,  going 3-for-5 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
Vacaville's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Rodriguez, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-7 record  this season.
While Vacaville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
