Softball Recap: Bakersfield Drops Season-High Score on Mira Monte

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bakersfield). Everything went their way against the Mira Monte Lions on Friday as Bakersfield made off with a 14-2 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Drillers considering their two-run performance the game before.

Natalia Lozano was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Ryann Arnold was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.

Bakersfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .680. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
