Basketball Recap: Jefferson Academy Triumphs

On Wednesday, the Jefferson Academy Jaguars were able to grind out a solid win over the Frontier Academy Wolverines, taking the game 61-54. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

Josh Neely had an outrageously good game as he went 11 for 23 on his way to 26 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (two). Riley Prevost was another key player, putting up 12 points and eight boards.

Lucas Carmichael and Ethan Martinez certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Carmichael went 5 of 7 on his way to 19 points, while Martinez posted ten points. Kaden Robles was another key player, posting five points.

Jefferson Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Frontier Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Jefferson Academy will face off against Lamar at 4:30 p.m. on December 12th. As for Frontier Academy, they will square off against Manitou Springs at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th.
