Football Recap: Betsy Layne Comes Up Short

Betsy Layne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Belfry Pirates and fell 48-7. The contest marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Betsy Layne's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Belfry, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Betsy Layne is set to square off against their familiar foe Pike County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Belfry will take on rival Shelby Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
