Geneseo proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 17) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warsaw Tigers, sneaking past 6-4. For the Blue Devils, this counts as revenge for the 6-3 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.
Adelyn McDonald was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. McDonald was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Kendal Bennett and Paige Rossborough did most of the damage at the plate: Bennett got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run, while Rossborough scored two runs and stole five bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Emma Conklin, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.
