Basketball Recap: Chapman Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road + How To Watch

Chapman easily dispatched Spartanburg Christian Academy last Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Panthers fell just short of the Clinton Red Devils by a score of 35-32 on Monday. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Red Devils from their previous meeting back in November of 2023.

Chapman lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Paisleigh Smith, who posted six points.

McKenzie Clark had an outrageously good game for Clinton as she shot 58% from the field on her way to 18 points. That's the most points Clark has posted since back in December of 2024. Mylayja Thompson was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.

Chapman's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2. As for Clinton, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Chapman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-37 defeat against Blue Ridge on the 3rd. As for Clinton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-21 win against Belton-Honea Path on the 4th.
