Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ella Barske and Alexa Gendron Lead Groton-Dunstable to Victory

Groton-Dunstable entered their tilt with Bedford on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Buccaneers 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Crusaders also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Groton-Dunstable never let Bedford on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-23, 25-19.

Leading Groton-Dunstable to victory were Alexa Gendron and Ella Barske. Gendron had 18 digs and three aces, while Barske had nine digs and three aces. Gendron is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

They weren't the only good server: Groton-Dunstable was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Groton-Dunstable's record now sits at 4-2. As for Bedford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, Groton-Dunstable will host Shepherd Hill Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bedford, they will head out on the road to face off against Newton South at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
