Volleyball Recap: Loretto Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hampshire on Tuesday, Loretto came back down to earth. The Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Priceville Bulldogs on Thursday. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2017.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-9.

Haylee Bennett paced Loretto's offense, picking up five kills. Bennett got some help from Ella Potts and her five assists.

Loretto now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Priceville, their victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Loretto didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Siegel on the 22nd. As for Priceville, they will take on Waterloo in a tournament on Saturday.
