Baseball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty fell victim to Poinciana and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Poinciana Eagles, falling 16-0. The loss leaves the Chargers still looking for their first win of the season.

Liberty saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sebastian Rodriguez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Poinciana, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Innovation at 7:00 p.m. on March 24th. As for Poinciana, they will head out to take on Tohopekaliga at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
