Softball Recap: Putnam County Midgets vs. Milan Wildcats
Putnam County was the 13-0 winner over Milan when they last played one another back in September of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Putnam County Midgets lost 7-1 to the Milan Wildcats on Thursday.
Putnam County now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Milan, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Putnam County will square off against Schuyler County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Putnam County is facing Schuyler County at the right time seeing as Schuyler County is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Milan, they will face off against Brookfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Milan is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
