Soccer Game Preview: Baylor vs. Dalton

Baylor hasn't had much luck against Dalton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Baylor will head out on the road to face off against Dalton at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated (Baylor has three wins , while Dalton has 12 dating back to last season).

Baylor's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Notre Dame by a score of 2-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Dalton and Cass, and Dalton kept the tradition alive. Dalton blew past Cass 4-0 on Tuesday. Considering Dalton have won ten games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Dalton's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those seven contests. As for Baylor, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0-1.

Baylor beat Dalton by a goal in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Baylor since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
