After a string of five wins, the Scammon Bay Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 68-49 to Hooper Bay. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Scammon Bay has scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Scammon Bay lost, one person who can't be blamed is Stewie Sundown. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. Sundown has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Josiah Sundown, who scored ten points.

Hooper Bay's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carson Long led the charge by scoring 29 points. Long is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Latrell Lake was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.

Scammon Bay's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3. As for Hooper Bay, their win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
