Softball Recap: Science Leadership Academy vs. Franklin Towne Warriors
Science Leadership Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-3 to the Franklin Towne Warriors, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Science Leadership Academy of the 15-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
For Franklin Towne's part, Aubrey Seider spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. Seider has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, Franklin Towne let Emma Dahl and Ann Bernard loose on the outfield.
