Soccer Recap: Denver North Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matches, Denver North finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of the Denver South Ravens by a score of 2-1. Denver North were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Denver South apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Denver North's goal came courtesy of Abriana Ruiz, who's now up to four this season.

Denver North's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3-1. As for Denver South, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Denver North will face off against Denver East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Denver North will need to watch out since Denver East have now posted at least four goals in their last three games. As for Denver South, they will take on Montbello at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Denver South are facing Montbello at the right time seeing as Montbello are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
