Baseball Recap: Mason County Eastern Takes a Loss

Mason County Eastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Lake City Trojans, falling 16-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cardinals have suffered since April 23rd.

Mason County Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Lake City, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-8.

Looking ahead, Mason County Eastern will venture away from home to face off against Pentwater at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Lake City, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-2 defeat against Farwell on the 10th.
