Basketball Game Preview: Johns Creek Gladiators vs. Mill Creek Hawks

The Johns Creek Gladiators will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Mill Creek Hawks at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Johns Creek sitting on six straight wins and Mill Creek on three.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on SaturdayMill Creek capped 2024 with a 52-49 victory over Jackson County. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Panthers are ranked 283rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mill Creek is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Johns Creek, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.

Johns Creek was dealt a bruising 65-34 defeat at the hands of Mill Creek when the teams last played back in December of 2021. Can Johns Creek avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
