Football Recap: Leicester Gets the Win + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Millbury, Leicester was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 37-28 win over the Burncoat Patriots. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2015.

Jaxon Ruth was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 157 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 87 yards and one TD on only eight passes. Those 87 passing yards gave him a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Burncoat still got an impressive performance from Marcus Dascelin, who rushed for 153 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries. Dascelin's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 106 rushing yards dating back to last season.

The victory got Leicester back to even at 1-1. As for Burncoat, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Leicester will welcome Quabbin Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Burncoat, they will venture away from home to face off against Millbury at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
