Football Recap: Triton Central Picks Up Eighth Straight Win on the Road

Triton Central had won seven straight road games dating back to last season and Braden Brown did his part to make it eight on Friday. The Tigers managed a 24-20 win over the Beech Grove Hornets thanks in part to Brown, who rushed for 180 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 70 yards and one touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.

Triton Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Luke Strong, Zeke Robertson, and Traiven Dunbar picked up one apiece.

Despite the loss, Beech Grove still got an impressive performance from Caron Parks, who picked up 76 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 117 yards. Parks' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 117 rushing yards. Bishop Moore was another key player, throwing for 195 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes.

Triton Central's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Beech Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Triton Central will face off against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beech Grove, they will challenge Tri-West Hendricks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
