The York Dukes will square off against the Highway 6 Trailblazers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. York will be strutting in after a victory while Highway 6 will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, York finally turned things around against Milford on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Eagles as they made off with a 9-1 win. Considering the Dukes have won five games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lauryn Mattox was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The dominant performance gave her a new career- in home runs. Mattox was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Mira Garrett was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was McKenzie Linder, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

York was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Milford only posted a batting average of .176.

Meanwhile, Highway 6 lost 13-1 to Polk County on Monday.

York's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Highway 6, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.
