Horizon Honors has gone a perfect 4-0 against San Tan Charter recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Horizon Honors Eagles will look to defend their home field against the San Tan Charter Roadrunners at 6:30 p.m. Horizon Honors is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Horizon Honors is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Gilbert Classical Academy with a sharp 23-2 win on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Eagles with their most commanding win of the season.
Aidan Andrews made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Andrews was also big at the plate, scoring four runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Lucas Holweger was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Wilson, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs and four RBI.
Horizon Honors always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .644. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gilbert Classical Academy only posted an OBP of .353.
Meanwhile, San Tan Charter's undefeated season came to an end after five games on Tuesday. They fell just short of St. John Paul II Catholic by a score of 8-6. The loss was the Roadrunners' first of the season.
San Tan Charter also got a good showing from Anthony Crupi, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Crupi has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jonathan Markland made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Jalen O'Neal was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Horizon Honors' victory bumped their record up to 5-0-1. As for San Tan Charter, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Horizon Honors hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .351. However, it's not like San Tan Charter struggles in that department as they've averaged .358. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Horizon Honors' way against San Tan Charter in their previous meeting back in April of 2022, as Horizon Honors made off with a 20-6 win. Will Horizon Honors repeat their success, or does San Tan Charter have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
