Softball Recap: Bonneville Takes a Loss

If Bonneville was feeling good fresh off their 17-1 takedown of Roy on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lakers took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clearfield Falcons on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Lakers in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Ellee Summers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Samantha Mills also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Bonneville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Clearfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Bonneville is set to face off against their familiar foe Box Elder at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Clearfield will challenge rival Bountiful at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
